Griffiss Institute & AFRL/RI

The Opportunity

The Griffiss Institute is a non-profit who works with the Airforce Research Lab in Rome NY. Part of their mandate is to participate in technology transfer (T2) - matching government research and patents, produced by the lab, with the public sector for commercialization and driving business growth. They were seeking a partner to help them redefine the processes and experience of technology transfer to raise awareness and increase patents & licenses.

My Role

Over three phases of work, I was in the role of lead service designer and executive sponsor for this project. I was responsible for all research, strategy and services design activities, facilitating workshops and co-design sessions, and conceptual UX design, and managing the client relationship. I also served as creative director for final content, UX, and brand design.
