I have over 20 years of experience in the design field with concentrated skill in UX design, design thinking, experience strategy, design management, and leadership. I also have extensive experience in teaching, including at the graduate level.
In the most recent years of my career, I have been internally focused on mentoring and growing consulting skills within the organization, hiring and growing the team, standardizing processes and approaches, and building research and design operations best practices. Prior to that, I have grown design research and experience strategy capabilities, advocated for design thinking and inclusive design approaches, and built a service design practices. Many of the projects I lead surround complex problems with a high-degree of ambiguity that needs to be navigated. It is often paramount that I maintain a high-level strategic vision while guiding a multi-disciplinary team in their day-to-day work to focus on outcomes and impact. I find that those ambiguous projects provide the most interesting challenges.
